The piece Puunhaltija, written and directed by Ilona Willebrandt, is a story about how important it is how we treat nature and its creatures. “As the forest answers, so you call into it,” says an old saying. It’s about the balance of giving and receiving. Can we marvel, sense, look, and listen? What effect does friendly and considerate behavior and speech have? And what about domineering and belittling? Recommended age 5+. Duration about 40 min.

Based on Tove Jansson’s Näkymätön lapsi ja muita kertomuksia, the choreography weaves skilled dance, music, and visual elements into a captivating world. The piece speaks through dance about themes important to Jansson: friendship, tolerance, and the courage to be oneself. Recommended age 3+. Performance duration 50 min.
