Äänekoski Äksön brings summer event vibes to the city center on Saturday 6 June 2026, 10:00–15:00. The event is free and open to everyone.

Throughout the day there will be a wide range of program for the whole family in the center. Expect music, performances, market stalls, and various activities across the event area.

Program includes:

• Mimmit-duo at 10:30

• Lumo Company: Indigo contemporary circus at 12:00

• Folk Saimaa at 13:30

• Kehu kirjaa-karaoke at the main library. Come share your favorite book or listen to others’ recommendations! Adults' book karaoke at 11:15 and children's book karaoke at 13:00

The library is open during Äksön from 10:00 to 15:00. Come make your own pin badge! The pin workshop is open throughout the event.

Also during the day:

• Special offers and happenings by brick-and-mortar shops

• Traditional trunk flea market at the City Hall parking lot

• A truck, a tractor, and the volunteer fire brigade's vehicle at Monitoimiaukio

• Kesäkaara at Keskusaukio

• Opening of the new gravel bike routes

• HuimaUrho football match as part of Saunamaakuntaviikko

• Treats and pop-up stalls
