Works from the 6th graders' Kuvataidepolku are on view in a group exhibition at Hoikkassali, 3-29 Oct.

Äänekoski's 6th graders have, over the autumn, visited Äänekosken taidemuseo and selected works from its collections together with visual arts teacher Outi Pantsari from Koskela. In the October exhibition, the works on display were created inspired by these pieces. The works are made with markers while practicing three-dimensional perception. Each student has drawn their own piece on a foldable cube.

The exhibition features the work of all 160 students. The exhibition is unusual, as all works are suspended from the ceiling and can be viewed from many angles.

Kuvataidepolku is part of Äänekosken kaupungin kulttuurikasvatussuunnitelma, in which each age group explores one area of culture. The 6th graders' Kuvataidepolku is carried out annually in cooperation with schools, Äänekosken taidemuseo and Koskelan Setlementti.

The working method changes each year. In previous years, themes have included environmental art and painting with acrylics. Works have been shown at Äänekosken taidemuseo, in schools and in Taidepuisto.
