Museo Väksy Event Evening: The Story of the Noble Girls - Tyttöjensaari
Mon 16.11.2026
17:00 - 18:15
The folk tale of Tyttöjensaari is examined thoroughly. What is fact and what is legend.
Two noble girls were shipwrecked on Tyttöjensaari in Äänekoski while fleeing a forced marriage arranged by their father. The tale touches on the 17th–18th-century Swedish–Russian wars, wilderness hunting, and families of Central Finland. Helena Ojanen and Timo Enäkoski go through the story step by step with illustrations and archival sources.
Tickets €5.
