At the end of February at Painotalo: a concert where humor blooms, stories flow, and a tear isn't far away. The well-known Music Councillor and piano virtuoso Seppo Hovi is joined on stage by his trusted colleagues: accordionist Jarno Kuusisto, winner of the Kultainen Harmonikka competition in 1992, and singer and diploma-level saxophonist Hannu Lehtonen. Oi aika kultainen - Finns' favorite songs across the decades offers genuine evening entertainment, with instrumental numbers included. Expect music by Oskar Merikanto, Reino Helismaa, Toivo Kärki and Olavi Virta, 1950s hits from Finland and abroad, plus Junnu Vainio, all seasoned with Hovi's stories. Ticket €25 includes coffee with a Karelian pie.
