Public meeting for the Mt 642 Äänekosken silta project

A public meeting about the Mt 642 Äänekosken silta project will be held on Wednesday 10 June 2026, 17:00–18:30, in the council chamber at Äänekoski City Hall. Address: Hallintokatu 4, Äänekoski.

Construction of the new bridge in Äänekoski will begin in June. The project aims to improve the flow and safety of car traffic, walking and cycling, and to secure efficient transport connections to support the growth and development of local industry.

A public meeting about the Mt 642 Äänekosken silta project will be held on Wednesday 10 June 2026, 17:00–18:30, in the council chamber at Äänekoski City Hall. Address: Hallintokatu 4, Äänekoski.

The event will present the project goals, work phases and construction impacts. The public can ask questions and talk with project representatives. Coffee will be served from 16:30.

Speakers include Project Manager Sami Honkanen from Väylävirasto, and Work Manager Markus Tarvainen and Site Manager Mika Huhtala from Kreate Oy, the project’s contractor. Urban Structure Manager Riitta Ilmasti from the City of Äänekoski will also attend.
