What does it look like when community, creativity, and bold ideas meet? Join a study tour to explore concrete examples of how vitality is built through today’s actions. During the day we’ll travel around the Laukaa and Vaajakoski area, visiting places where hands-on doing, community spirit, creative entrepreneurship, and sustainable solutions come together.

Join a study tour to discover concrete examples of how vitality is built through today’s actions. Throughout the day we’ll move around the Laukaa and Vaajakoski area, visiting places where practical making, community, creative entrepreneurship, and sustainable development solutions intersect.

We will visit, among others, Väentuvan Retrokeidas, the historic Tulitikkutehdas setting, and local creative practitioners’ spaces. During the day you’ll see how the circular economy, material reuse, and community-led activity can generate new vitality for the area. The tour also includes a workshop where you can try your hand at creative making in the spirit of sustainability: we’ll craft earrings or keyrings from old bicycle inner tubes.
